Marisa Lloreda
Founder / Chief Content Officer & Executive Producer
Marisa Lloreda is a creative storyteller and trailblazer in the streaming space—a producer and OTT strategist whose career spans feature films, television, and digital platforms. She’s been shaping the OTT landscape since 2009, long before it became industry standard. As the founder of Redbarre Media, Marisa combines narrative instinct with strategic precision to build channels, acquire and license global content, and develop original IP that resonates with today’s audiences.
Her unique path blends executive strategy with deep creative development experience. Marisa served as development executive with Berk-Schwartz Entertainment, where she contributed to the production of the original syndicated season of Baywatch. Early in her career, she collaborated with legendary producers and directors including Martin Brest (Scent of a Woman), Irwin Yablans (Halloween), and Harry Ufland (The Last Temptation of Christ), honing her ability to shape compelling, commercially viable stories. Her work with Irwin Yablans at Empire Films extended into international productions, further sharpening her global perspective and production acumen.
At Redbarre, she brings that same creative and strategic firepower to building platforms and brands. She led the digital rebrand of BIGSTAR.tv—launching its flagship OTT service and 14 niche-branded VOD channels—and content acquisitions lead for the AAPI-focused JoySauce. Marisa also spearheaded the launch of BeaconTV, a rebellious AVOD/SVOD channel rooted in true crime, horror, and the paranormal—guiding everything from acquisitions to content strategy with bold, audience-first thinking.
Marisa directed the award-winning documentary Streets of Flamenco and is a producer on the 2023 Primetime Emmy-nominated My Transparent Life. Her additional producing credits include Hollywood Disclosure and Dream Life: Los Angeles.
A longtime speaker at MIPCOM and 15-time juror for the MIPCOM Buyers’ Award for Japanese Drama, Marisa is fluent in the international marketplace and passionate about bridging global stories with digital innovation. Based in Los Angeles, she is a proud member of the Television Academy.
