In 1980 three British cavers discovered a new cave deep in the forests of Sarawak, Borneo. Entering the cave they swam and climbed their way up a powerful whitewater river before reaching a huge black void. What they had discovered is the largest cave chamber ever discovered. The forests and caves are home to countless species of wildlife and the nightly flight of over 6 million Wrinkle Lipped bats from Deer Cave is one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife events. It is now an established National Park with Unesco World Heritage status. Now, 30 years later the three original explorers return, retracing their steps they tell their remarkable story of discovery.
